9- Manartuq Tour
Manartuq means fish swallowing bait in Inuit.
On this diversified five-hour tour you get to safely learn to mush a sled with a team of over six dogs. Travelling by dogsled through the
splendour and richness of our immense territory will mesmerize you. This tour takes you over frozen lakes, up the maple grove mountain and
through a snow-laden forest where you discover the winter habitats and habits of different forest animals, including beavers and martens.
After a few hours on the trails, we stop in the heart of the Havre des sources (Haven of Sources) Valley for an introduction to ice fishing.
An ice fishing pro is there to teach you all you need to know about this fascinating sport. You will be fishing pure water bred rainbow and
speckled (or brook) trout. (All fishing equipment and baits are provided.) Later, the fish you caught is prepared and served as the main
course of your meal which also includes a starter and a regional dessert, coffee and tea. If you prefer, the fish can be replaced with bison meat.

A wonderful excursion suited for gourmets in search of freshness!
